The Mansion House is our home in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
It’s where we live, work, and spend most of our time, looking after the house and garden.
We’re Jim and Odile, and everything here reflects the way we live. We’re glad to be able to share a small part of it with you.
Over the years, it’s become the base for everything we do. From having people to stay, to running the Secret Passage Supper Club and the Honesty Shop, it all starts here.
It’s not a grand operation, and it’s not meant to be. What we’ve built here is simple, honest, and always evolving. If you come to stay, or join us around the table, we hope you’ll feel at home here too.
We grow what we can, cook as much as possible from scratch, and are slowly working towards a more self-sufficient way of life. It’s not perfect, and it’s always evolving, but that’s part of it.
Much of what we do centres around food, whether that’s growing it, cooking it, or sharing it with others. It’s a big part of life here, and something we’re always learning and improving as we go.
Life here is a mix of work, routine, and the odd bit of chaos, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s a place we’re proud of, and one we enjoy sharing whenever we can.
We also offer rooms for those who want to stay a little longer and experience life here at their own pace. Whether it’s a quiet break in the countryside or part of a visit to the Supper Club, it’s a chance to properly settle in and enjoy the surroundings.

The Honesty Shop
A small, self-serve shop stocked with homemade and homegrown goods. Open when it’s open, simple as that.
What The Butcher Knew
Old butchery knowledge, written down before it’s forgotten. Recipes, techniques, and proper foundations.
The Mansion House has been here far longer than we have, and no doubt seen more than we ever will. Over time it’s changed, adapted, and been lived in, just as it is today.
We’re simply the current custodians, looking after it, adding our own chapter, and making sure it continues to be a place full of life. By visiting, staying, or joining us around the table, you become part of that story too, helping us care for the house and keep it going.
